UK: HMRC delays RTI reporting on employee hours and dividends

Plans to force employers to include details of employee working hours and dividends paid to directors on PAYE real time information reports are on hold, as HMRC confirms that the reporting requirement to provide more detailed employees’ hours data through PAYE RTI returns will not go ahead from April 2025 as planned.

The government is also considering whether to proceed with reporting changes that would have seen business and individuals compelled to provide data on start and end dates of self-employment and dividends paid to company owner-managers.
